16 April 01 -- Unfortunately, NIAB have confirmed that we will not be able to use their facilities from the end of April. This will therefore impact on our ability to run a summer club.

However, since there are two remaining Tuesdays in April (the 17th and 24th), we have decided to run a summer club at NIAB for those nights, provided there is sufficient demand. Given that this is being arranged at such short notice, please 'phone me on my mobile, or email me at work (colin.millerchip@mail.com) if you want to play on the 17th -- I will only be opening up at NIAB if people want to play.

Please note that NIAB summer club starts at 8pm, and is separately charged for (the current rate being £2 a night).

4 April 01 -- In September the club will be moving to The Perse School, Hills Road. Club will begin on Tuesday 4th September, 7.30pm till 10.30pm.

NIAB Summer Club: due to unfortunate incidents in recent years, NIAB is reconsidering its position with regard to hiring its sports facilities to outside organisations. We are to be informed of their decision as soon as it is made.

7 Dec 00 -- The 4 Jan match (Nwmkt Mens) against Borders was listed as being at the wrong venue -- it's actually at "Castle Manor".

6 Dec 00 -- "Just to let you know that we are at The Perse School again next week (Tue 12th Dec) as only a few could make it this week. Again we have 3 courts for an hour, 9-10pm. I know there was a mens match last night but as there is a ladies match next week hopefully this will even out. This will be the last chance as they close for Xmas and then have bookings from then on, although I think there is pay as you go availability on Friday."

2 Dec 00 -- On page 24 of the November issue of "Badminton", Stephen Baddeley (CEO of BAofE) suggests that, following the high profile coverage of badminton at the Olympics, those keen for more coverage of the sport should contact Peter Salmon, Head of Sport, BBC TV Centre, Room 5106, Wood Lane, London. Please take a few minutes to write or email to Peter Salmon (email address: peter.salmon@bbc.co.uk).
